White Releases More Details on Epic UFC White House Event
As part of the celebrations for America's 250th birthday, UFC President and CEO Dana White has revealed some fresh information regarding the live event that will take place on the White House grounds next year.
Multi-Billion Dollar Paramount Deal
President Donald Trump of the United States is involved in the event's preparations.
Today, White confirmed the July 4, 2026, event at the White House on CBS' morning broadcast.
“It is definitely going to happen,” he said. “I talked to him last night, him being the president. I’m flying out there at the end of this month, and I’m going to sit down and walk him through all the plans and the renderings. We’re going to start deciding what he wants and doesn’t want. Think about this. When you were just asking me, at the beginning, how I felt about where we are today, July 4, 250th birthday of the United States of America. Live on CBS from the White House.”
Ivanka Was Involved
Ivanka Trump, Trump's daughter, is also in contact with White to assist with event planning.
According to White, it is too soon to announce the fighters who will compete.
The UFC has had a busy day. A seven-year, USD $7.7 billion media rights deal was announced yesterday by Paramount and TKO Group Holdings, a sports and entertainment group that owns the UFC, WWE, and PBR, the bull riding organization.
$7.7 billion agreement
All UFC numbered events and Fight Nights will be streamed live on Paramount+ starting in 2026, with a few major fights televised on CBS.
The UFC and Paramount are switching from the UFC's current Pay-Per-View model to offering premium events to the U.S. subscription base at no extra cost through Paramount+.
Several well-known UFC fighters, including the now-retired Jon Jones and Conor McGregor, have expressed their desire to compete in the White House bout.
Jones Desires to Enter
Jones claimed that after learning about the Trump fight, he stepped out of retirement and resumed his training. A bout between Jones and heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall would be a very popular betting event, but White rejected the idea since Jones has a reputation for being unreliable when trying to create a card and has had legal troubles. According to White, the UFC cannot play around with "will he or won't he" situations at the Trump event.
BetVictor trader Mark Collier told Casino.org that it's difficult to predict betting interest on an event of this nature because nothing like has ever been done.
“Hard to gauge really,” he said. “Not sure we’ve had such an unorthodox sort of venue before or even something remotely comparable. Personally, with the variables involved such as Donald Trump, outside set up and most crucially, bouts likely to be PPV level then surely we would expect above average business.”
